After Hours Emergencies

After office hours, our phones are answered by an answering service for urgent medical issues only. The answering service is not a substitute for an office visit or the emergency room, and it cannot handle scheduling, appointment requests, cancellations, new conditions not discussed at a previous visit, pain flares, pain medication requests, or medication refill requests — these are handled during regular office hours. If you believe you may have a true medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department first; do not delay by calling the answering service. After-hours calls determined not to be an emergency — such as a request for pain medication or a change in pain medication — may be assessed a $25.00 fee by the clinic.
